It’s time for a status update, and this time, I shuffle the goals around.
4. Watch Better Anime
I finally completed the 2024 MAL Challenge! I will not do the 2025 MAL Challenge since now I’m watching less anime. Now that it’s completed, my anime plans for the rest of 2024 have remained unchanged. But, I have been watching plenty of Keroro Gunsou recently. I enjoy the chaotic sci-fi alien humor, and each episode feels distinctly Sgt. Frog. The 2006 episodes still feel like classic episodes. I’m just going to dial back on the amount of anime I watch, but I’m down for more Keroro chaos.
I also read the first volume of Witch Life in a Micro Room, and it’s cute and cozy. My favorite character is Madge, the one who dresses up like an old-timey witch. I don’t have the other volumes yet, but I’ll buy them with my Barnes & Noble Gift Card.

Why I want to learn tech skills
- I want to challenge myself and broaden my horizons.
- I want to be successful in my career.
- I want to create software applications.
- I want to make my life easier and more productive.
- I want to make my hobbies more enjoyable.
With the 2024 challenge out of the way, I feel that now is the time to switch gears from anime to tech skills. I have not done much tech skills learning, and my parents treat it like it’s extremely important. Problem is, I haven’t formed a habit of starting it. I already accomplished so much this year, so why not continue the year with actually starting the habit of learning tech skills? I do have more plans for the end of the year, which I’ll get to later.
By the way, I decided not to publish my Chrome Extension to the Chrome store since that will require me to go through a lot of hoops and hurdles. There are so many factors that I need to consider like marketing, better UI and UX design, all that jazz. But, the source code to my Chrome Extension is available on my GitHub! In a way, it is published. But, the only people who could use it are people who know how to clone repositories and enable developer mode on Google Chrome. If anyone wants to help me with this Chrome Extension or knows someone who can help me, then that would be great! I’m still kind of new to this whole GitHub and publishing thing.
5. Call My Parents at Least Twice a Month
My parents called me 5 times this month. They hate the fact that I’m financially struggling living paycheck to paycheck due to everything getting more expensive. Luckily, I still am financially stable, and I am kind of in an easy position to make my life less costly.
3. Travel
- Revisit Family for Christmas
My parents said that they are going to reimburse my Christmas plane ticket. Having a big vacation and buying my mom’s car happening closely have not been kind to my finances, but this will help a lot.
2. Get Better at Stepmania
- Pass every hard chart from Touhou Pad Pack 4 and Mute Sims 1.
- Pass every medium chart from Condor’s Overly Cool and Kawaii Simfiles 01-04.
- Pass every hard course I created from Touhou Pad Pack 5 and 7 .
- Pass every medium 9 chart from Touhou Pad Pack 7.
By 2025, I expect the Stepmania goals list to look like this.
- Pass every hard chart from Touhou Pad Pack 4 and Mute Sims 1.
- Pass every medium and hard chart from “Alliterative Zen” trilogy and beat & flow.
- Pass every hard course I created from Touhou Pad Pack 5 and 7.
- Pass every medium 10 chart from Touhou Pad Pack 7.
For the rest of November and December, I will focus hard on the CondorTalon packs 01-04 (but only the Medium charts) as well as the Medium 9 charts of Touhou Pad Pack 7 with the exception of Blinded to All Truth in This World. I only have 19 charts to play.

2024 was filled with so many significant moments of my life, that I’m sure that I will have enough moments for a Top 10 list. The four seasons of 2024 have felt different in many ways, and I’ll just say that I’m proud of the accomplishments I made this year even though I’m breaking even financially.
As for anime and YouTube, I expect to see some surprises. I might even make a Top 10 Movies list if I somehow watched a tenth or even eleventh movie this year. So far, I watched 6 anime movies and 3 3D animated movies. 2024 wasn’t the best year for anime or even Stepmania, but it made up in other aspects.
