I had a client for acrylics before christmas, on xmas eve she rang to say one had come off, and could she glue it herself, she didnt want to bother me on xmas eve with an appointment for it to be repaired. I told her to buy some nail glue from the supermarket, but i would see her if she would prefer on xmas eve.

She came in for infills today and she had put lockright glue on her nail to stick it back on. She had done it at the weekend and it's not going to budge. I mean lmao, never known anyone to use lockright glue.

Has anyone had a client do this or used superglue ? If so can you tell me what happened ?

Lol, I confess, I used superglue once out of desperation and before I trained in nails! I buffed it down so it was smooth and painted over it and it really wasn't too bad! It held my badly broken nail together for a couple of weeks until it grew enough for me to file it out.
I'd never do that now tho of course.

Omg I would DIE! How could you possibly have done her treatment without wanting to bop her on the head lol.

But I know a podiatrist and she said they use superglue sometimes, I'm not sure it's that harmful is it ? I just hope this lockrite stuff falls off ok in the end !

As superglue was first invented to glue war wounds together I can't see it's that bad really, but YES I've got one client in particular that does this, well, her daughter actually. They are both clients, but the daughter seems to think she's an amateur nail tech and "comes to the rescue" if a tip breaks. It's pretty annoying.
