The family of Kenneka Jenkins, who was found dead at age 19 in a Chicago-area hotel's walk-in freezer, has reached a settlement reportedly worth $6 million. Jenkins' death attracted wide attention, including from conspiracy theorists.

According to Dahmer, he found Sears "exceptionally attractive", and Sears was the first victim from whom he permanently retained any body parts: he preserved Sears' head and genitalia in acetone and stored them in a wooden box, which he later placed in his work locker.

When the two officers went round, they were met with a putrefying smell of flesh but Dahmer told them it was pork chops and that had gone off, the Daily Mail reports. It was an excuse he had also given to his neighbours, telling them that his freezer had gone off.
